The Best Bagel Chain in New York – Black Seed Bagel Review

Imagine taking a bite of a toasty bagel with poppyseeds and onion flakes crumbling off. A thin spread of cream cheese. Stuffed with capers, tomato, and the freshest smoked salmon.

Black Seed Bagels is a Business with seven successful locations across Manhattan, and for good reason. This bagel shop serves freshly baked bagels every day at a reasonable price. To create these delicious bagels, James Beard nominated Chef and founder Dianna Daoheung created a recipe that involves using a special dough that is boiled and sweetened, and then cooking the bagels in a wood burning oven.

Their menu is extensive. You can choose from their suggestions, or create your own bagel. They also sell coffee, tea, snacks, sweets, and sandwiches. A simple bagel with cream cheese is sold for under five dollars, which is great compared to some alternative shops. Their classic bagel suggestions are slightly more expensive but you still get your money’s worth. This shop has everything a customer asks for, and more. If you are in Manhattan and are looking for a quick bite, head over to the nearest Black Seed Bagel and you will be surprised at how good their product is.

Black Seed Bagels also works with local buisnesses like Felix Roasting Co. and Bushwick Tea to create their own beverage products. (Photo credit: Fox Quattrone)
