The strongest sports program offered in the world for high school students is in the United States. All sports that are offered in the United States are superior compared to other countries around the world.
This is because of the many opportunities offered to students at schools. About 77% of schools across the country offer sports programs for students who are interested.
Sports are a great way for students to get their daily exercise in and help them create new interests in new hobbies. According to a poll from the American Psychiatric Association, around 84% of people in the United States believe that sports help them with their mental health.
This is especially important for students, as they have the stress of school assignments and studies from WebMD show that exercising releases endorphins in the brain which help you relieve stress. Doing sports may help students get their minds off a test, or possible drama at school.
The only problem that is seen with this are grades. Sports practices range from 1.5-3 hours per day for high school students. That interferes with the amount of time they have to do their homework. Work overloads are then caused, causing even more stress for students to get their work done on time.
Although sports being required may come as a disadvantage to students, at the end it can become an advantage for their future. According to the NCAA, about 530,000 students in the United States commit to a college with sports.
This essentially “sets” them up for their future. Continuing to do their sports in high school will help them in the future as if they are good enough, they could get offered for college
Although sports can come as a benefit to students and set them up for their future, it can also come at a disadvantage and a risk for both their physical and mental health.
