Sporting event
The best sporting event I went to in 2024 had to be the Alabama vs. Vanderbilt football game. The last time Vanderbilt beat Alabama in a football game was on September 29 in 1984. Being at this game was incredible and storming the field after and celebrating with the players and students was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. When I first heard my mom was taking me to the Alabama game I was excited but I also thought that Vanderbilt was going to be smoked and the game would be hard to watch but I could not have been more wrong.

Movie
The best movie I watched that came out in 2024 was definitely Deadpool & Wolverine because of how funny it was. Not only was it a great movie but it was a great environment. I was at sleepaway camp and the counselors took us out to watch the movie so I got to see it with my friends and it was the first movie I had watched in weeks. I have always loved the Deadpool series and I thought that this new movie with Wolverine wouldn’t be as good but it ended up being one of the funniest and action-packed movies I have ever seen.

Book
The best book that I read this year was The Revenge of the Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. Although this book came out at the end of 2023 I still chose it because it was one of my favorites. I have already read Tipping Point and Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell and I loved them. These books are so fascinating because he gives factual information and he analyzes it and lays out a pattern. Reading the audiobook with my mom was also great for long drives and it always is so interesting to hear about these real-world dilemmas or examples. Me and my mom reading a book together is very rare as we have very different interests so I was very happy to read this with her. Non-fiction books like his can give you interesting information but it can also guide you and change how you think by implementing his rules and into your life.

Favorite trip
My favorite trip was traveling to the island St. Barths. This is such an amazing island, filled with spectacular beaches, prosperous wildlife, and amazing food. This trip was so awesome but it would not be what it was without my neighbor. We have known each other for nearly a decade and this trip has become an annual tradition with his family and mine. We created the best memories with each other and always made sure we weren’t sitting around and doing nothing. It was only one week but one of the best of my life. We used this vacation to the fullest and I am dying to go back next year.
