After about two weeks of work on the freshman hallway, a place that is usually empty, is filled with students after the new student lounge was opened.
Sophomore Michael McCool said “I like to go to the library when I have to do serious work.”
The student lounge offers an alternative to the library that lets you talk, chill, or play ping pong with no restrictions and it does this while the library acts as a place for work.
This offers a good balance to the freshmen and sophomores who have a place to work and hangout.
Another sophomore student, Sean Morr, said that “it depends on the time of the day but I usually like to go where more students are and almost all the time my friends are in the student lounge.”
Before the new lounge there was pretty much no place to hangout as a freshman or sophomore besides an empty classroom or the library.
This was the opposite of the seniors who got their own lounge and even the juniors who have their own hallway with seats and tables to do work.
As Sean put it, “it is pretty much a hangout for sophomore and freshman.”
This student lounge is monumental for underclassmen students as it offers a unique hangout spot that is miles better than the freshman hallway and sophomore bubble.
