In 2025 there have been a lot of fashion trends that have dominated many peoples’ closets. Fashion trends vary from year to year as 2025 has different trends compared to 2026.

• Polka dots

You may have noticed that polka dots are coming back. In popular stores such as Brandy Melville, Pacsun and Hollister polka dots are taking over the store. In my closet I have tons of items with polka dots and it’s a staple that is fun to wear and style. I am thrilled that this trend came back as it’s very cute and a staple every girl should have.

• Stripes

Similar to polka dots, stripes have made a comeback as well. In fact, I wear striped tops almost every day. Stripes in every color never manage to look bad. Stripes on pants are also a trend in 2025. Brandy Melville is a popular store to get striped pants from as they also range in many colors from red to blue. I love to get my striped clothing from stores such as Edikted, Brandy Melville, and Hollister.

• Barrel Jeans

Barrel Jeans have become popular amongst many. I personally don’t agree with this trend, and I don’t think it looks the best. Barrel jeans get wider in the middle near the knees and then get slimmer as it gets to the bottom. I prefer the wide leg jeans instead.

• Butter yellow

Butter yellow has been a popular color dominating many stores. When I walked into a Garage store butter yellow was a color that caught my eye. It was hard not to buy all of the items in that color as it’s a perfect pastel yellow and fun to wear. Pacsun also has a bunch of items in butter yellow in the John Galt section.

• The collared button up top

Many clothing brands have taken note of the trend and stocked the stores with the collared button up top in many colors. The many OOTDs (outfit of the day) on Tiktok feature this top. When styled it is often paired with jeans or a white tank top underneath.

• The Zip up

The Zip ups have become the new trend amongst men. They have gone from nike techs to zip ups which is much more formal. This looks better compared to what Nike  Techs, and is easier to style overall. This is also an item that goes well with the Hackley dress code.

This year’s fashion trends have been fun to style, cute, and fashionable. From stripes to colors anything can ultimately become a trend. What will the fashion trends be next year?
