Right on the Tarrytown strip, just down the hill from Hackley, sits Bibille, a Korean restaurant that should quickly become a favorite among students and teachers alike. While the space itself is small don’t let that push you away. When you step inside, you’re greeted by a modern atmosphere that feels both welcoming and clean. The friendly staff immediately makes you feel at home, and the clean interior enhances the experience.

Bibille stands out for its exceptional food quality and fun twist on classic Korean food. On my recent visit, the chicken bowl featured tender, well-seasoned chicken with fresh vegetables and the rice was cooked extremely well. The boba tea offers an ideal sweet balance to a savory meal, while the homemade donuts are fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious, made fresh with an unconventional dough made from mochi. Everything is made with care and quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite.

A complete meal, including a protein bowl, bubble tea, and a mochi donut, costs around $20. While this might seem high for students, especially compared to fast food alternatives, the premium ingredients and overall dining experience make it worthwhile. You’re paying for quality even if the price difference is noticeable.

The food quality and exceptional service were standout moments of my visit. The staff were genuinely friendly, checking in without being on top of you, and the orders arrived quickly, making it perfect for lunch breaks between classes or an after school refuel. Minor critiques: portions could be slightly more generous for the price, particularly in the bowls, and the restaurant felt noticeably cold during my visit this January, which detracted somewhat from the otherwise cozy atmosphere. A bit more heating would go a long way towards the experience.

Should you visit Bibille? Absolutely. Whether you’re a Hackley student seeking dining options beyond the normal spots like taco project, or a teacher looking for quality food near campus for a quick lunch or dinner, Bibille delivers authentic Korean flavors with a modern twist, quick and friendly service, and consistently high-quality food that stands above typical fast dining. In a world of low quality chain restaurants and generic options, Bibille is a true gem worth supporting.
