In this article I will share my top 3 experiences of 2025 for each category, the categories include songs, vacations, restaurants, museums, books read, and movies watched. I will rank them from 1st to 3rd, and for my favorites I will offer a description/explanation.
Best Museums:
1: The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art
In January of 2025 I visited the Met with my two cousins. The Entrance price was $0 as a New York state resident. The exhibitions were also free to access except for a couple of special rooms. My cousins and I, newcomers to the vast exhibits, joined a free tour around most of the museum. I would definitely recommend it for New Yorkers and anyone interested in art or history.

2: The Guggenheim of Bilbao Spain
I visited the Guggenheim museum in the summer of 2025 on a family vacation. I wasn’t expecting it to be anything different than a typical art exhibition and that’s why I was shocked when the exhibits were both interesting and entertaining. The art was interactive, not only beautiful, and allowed you to be drawn into the pieces. Whether it was the rooms or merely the architecture of the building, I had a great time and would certainly recommend it if you are in the area.
3: National WWII museum In New orleans
Best Vacations:
1: Spain: San Sebastian, Bilbao, Santander
This trip was definitely my favorite of 2025, and possibly one of my top ever. This “premier coastal city in Spain’s Basque region” lived up to its name in every way possible. Its two beaches, La Concha and Zurriola feature warm blue waters on one hand, and surf-friendly waves on the other. Even though I’m not a huge fan of “pintxos” or tapas, the city has incredible food options. Every street corner you pass people are outside enjoying little meals. I thought it was amazing to see these pockets of blooming culture in every alley you passed. Our family stayed probably a 5 minute walk to the beach, which I would definitely recommend because the water and hikes are beautiful. The city itself is situated in a bay area but is surrounded by mountains/hills. Mount Urgull, a scenic hill topped with a castle and museum at the top, is a fantastic hike, and is so rewarding at the top when you look out and see the whole bay. San Sebastian offers so much and is rooted with so much history, it’s truly the perfect European summer getaway.
2: Hawaii: Maui, Molokai, and Oahu
Almost every year my family and I go to Hawaii to visit family and enjoy a picturesque vacation. Filled with beaches, good food, swimming and perfect tropical weather, Nothing else could serve as a more magnificent, rejuvenating, and relaxing holiday. However, for the first time, I went to Honolulu and explored Waikiki. My family visited pearl harbour and soaked in the sun on the famous waikiki beach. It was a very cool experience and I can’t wait to go back.
3: New Orleans and Baton Rouge
My family visited New Orleans and Baton Rouge in for New years. Unfortunatly, this was the time of the New Orleans terrorist attack, but to our suprise, It still ended up being one of the top places to visit in the U.S. Since the Attack postponed the NCAA Collage Football Sugarbowl, we were able to get tickets to see Notre Dame defeat Georgia bulldogs. Additionally, the city featured a lot of history along with very unique food options. So, if you do go, do not skip ot on their signature cajun and creole dishes, and you can thank me later
Best Books:
1: Arc of a Scythe Series
Arc of a Scythe is a young adult science fiction series by Neal Shusterman about an earth where humanity has conquered death, disease, and war, and an all-powerful AI called the Thunderhead governs the entire world. Since death has been conquered, the world needs to control the population. A group of professional killers called “Sythes” are tasked with “gleaning” or killing. The book focuses on two young scythe apprentices Cirta Terranova and Rowan Damish. Not to spoil anything, but their story is both heart-wrenching but for some reason easy to relate to. Early in the story, Citra and Rowan illustrate what life in this world actually looks like. When Faraday visits them, the experience is genuinely frightening, not because he intends to kill them, but because he easily could. This shows that even in a deathless society, people are never truly safe from that fear. Rowan’s home life further exposes the cracks in this so-called perfect world. He has every material comfort imaginable, yet his family shares no real emotional connection. Shusterman makes it clear that beneath the surface of this utopia lies real trauma and discontent. I think in our lives the world can feel like this, and it’s important to remember nothing is perfect, and that’s still okay.
2: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Aulthough a sappy, charming young adult romance, the book was supprisingly cute and has grown on me. The series started out kinda corny to me, a couple who begin to fake date as a way to get back at thier ex and prove to thier sisters ex they arent in love with them, yeah maybe not the most intruiging. But as I continued the series It grew on me, and then when I watched the movies on Netflix, I think It really grew on me. If youve heard of the sereis XO Kitty on netflix, this is a prelude to it that I would suggest to people who want to watch it.
3: One of us is Lying
